Now I don't have a graph or a print out but I did have a good weekend filled with all the necessary components that make up a good weekend: family, relaxation, laughter & delicious food.
Jack & I traveled a lot this weekend but it was totally worth it since we got to spend time with those we love.
Thursday we went to his parent's house & had an amazing time per usual. Unfortunately we got there later than anticipated & their turkey had also cooked faster than anticipated. So, we missed eating dinner with them but enjoyed reheated leftovers & time spent with people we don't get to see as often as we'd like. Jack & Alex (sister) spent most of the night playing Mario Tennis on the N64. It was relaxed, entertaining & pleasant. They live in the middle of the Allegheny National Forest & it is truly like a mini-vacation every time we go visit. I just love being there & feel so at peace.
Friday we slept in a bit & later in the day ventured over to the Gateway Lodge where we set up arrangements for our upcoming nuptials. I cannot express how fortunate I feel to be tying the knot at such a breathtaking venue in an intimate ceremony surrounded by only our parents & grandparents. have I mentioned that my soon to be father in law will be marrying us? Yup, he got ordained online & it will be all the more special to have someone I love & respect so much to facilitating the vows. What we have planned is beyond anything I have ever imagined.
Saturday we went to my parent's house & enjoyed more much needed family time complete with more amazing food. We even got to spend time with my brother who don't get to see often due to his crazy work schedule. We ended up spending the night & came home early this afternoon.
I decided to make these fun Oreo turkeys this year to bring with us to our parent's houses. I got the recipe from Our Best Bites & you can go look take a peek at the tutorial by going here. I also made a blue berry crumble pie & mini chocolate pudding pies complete will cool-whip topping.
I also got creative with a first attempt at polka dot nails. Considering it was my first attempt, I don't think they came out too shabby!
I hope everyone had an amazing weekend! I look forward to spending the rest of the evening catching up on some blogs followed by more relaxation.
Oh this has gotta be the good life

Congratulations on your wedding too! How exciting.
It's lovely to meet you. Thanks for following my blog. I am following you now too and look forward to reading more of your posts. Thanks for posting this song too-I love it! I'm going to pin it. If you have 5 minutes I would be thrilled if you could link up this post to my weekly Pinning & Singing party as this song is one worth sharing!
Best wishes,
Natasha.
