I'm Thankful: Yoga

I am thankful for Yoga.

Yoga helps me feel centered, present & calm.

Yoga helps me feel healthier in body, mind & soul. 

Yoga creates this wonderful ebb & flow in my prana & I end each session feeling balanced & energized. 

I have been slowly easing back into my yoga practice after not being able to practice at all due to nurturing a  broken leg. I still cannot do many asanas without severe discomfort that require being on all fours or that require pressure on the knees. Asanas such as, Marjaryasana (Cat/Cow Pose ), Uttana Shishosana (Extended Puppy Pose), Ashtanga Namaskara (Eight-Angle Pose), Bhujangasana (The Cobra), Urdhva Mukha Svanasana (Upward Facing Dog) & even Balasana (Child’s Pose). 

So, I have had to be very thoughtful in my asana choices while the soft tissue continues to heal from surgery.
